These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of Sayville Laundry’s website (sayvillelaundry.com), pickup and delivery, and in-store services (Services). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Plain-English summary: You agree to use the site lawfully, pay for the services you order, and follow our care rules. We handle your items with care but cannot guarantee outcomes like stain removal. Our liability is limited as described below.

1. Who we are and contact
   Sayville Laundry (we, us, our) is a laundry service based in Sayville, NY.

2. Using our Services
   • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
   • If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping it secure and for activity under it.
   • We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment
   • Prices, fees, minimums, and service areas are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.
   • You authorize us to charge your saved payment method for orders, applicable taxes, and any adjustments (for example, actual weight, add-on services, missed pickup fees).
   • Promotions, coupons, and credits have posted rules and may expire.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling
   • You can reschedule or cancel before pickup time in your account or by contacting us.
   • If we arrive and you or your bag is not available, a missed-pickup fee may apply.

5. Laundry care and limitations
   We follow standard industry practices:
   • Sorting and washing. We use reasonable efforts to separate lights/darks and follow care labels. Please separate dry-clean-only items from wash-and-fold.
   • Stains and delicate items. We do not guarantee stain removal or outcomes for delicate trims, buttons, or embellishments.
   • Pockets and prohibited items. Please empty all pockets. We are not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets (for example, pens, gum, batteries) or for prohibited items (for example, cash, jewelry, hazardous materials).
   • Color-bleed, shrinkage, and normal wear. Natural fading, shrinkage, or color transfer can occur and are not considered damage.

6. Lost or damaged items
   • Tell us about any issue within 24 hours of delivery, with photos and a description.
   • If we determine we are responsible, our total liability is the lesser of: (a) the item’s fair value considering age and condition (using common industry guidelines), or (b) $100 per order. We may choose to repair or replace an item.
   • We are not responsible for items without care labels, pre-existing damage, or issues resulting from fabric or trim defects.

7. Pickup, delivery, and safe-drop
   • Provide accurate pickup/delivery instructions and a safe location. You may authorize safe-drop; risk of loss transfers to you once items are left per your instructions.
   • Weather or traffic may affect times; we will communicate delays when possible.

8. Abandoned items
   If we cannot contact you or deliver your completed order for 30 days, we may donate or dispose of the items as permitted by law.

9. Acceptable use of the site
   Do not interfere with the site, attempt to access others’ accounts, or use automated scraping tools without permission.

10. Reviews and feedback
    If you submit reviews or feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use them for marketing and service improvement, without compensation.

11. Intellectual property
    The website and its content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

12. Third-party links and services
    We are not responsible for third-party websites, apps, or services linked from our site.

13. Disclaimer of warranties
    Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability
    To the extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for more than the amounts you paid for the order giving rise to the claim, subject to Section 6 above.

15. Indemnification
    You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

16. Changes to these Terms
    We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will post the new Terms with an updated effective date.

17. Governing law
    These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue and jurisdiction lie in courts located in Suffolk County, NY.
